This role is critical to achieving daily, weekly, and monthly production targets while ensuring product quality, operational efficiency, cost control, and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, leadership acumen, and a continuous improvement mindset. πŸ”Ή Key Responsibilities: 1. Production Planning & Management Develop and execute production schedules based on sales forecasts and inventory levels. Ensure optimal utilization of injection moulding machines, manpower, and material. Minimize machine downtime by coordinating with maintenance and tool room departments. Coordinate mould changes, production trials, and validations for new products or materials. 2. Process & Quality Control Ensure compliance with product specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements. Drive corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes in collaboration with Quality Assurance. Optimize process parameters to reduce rejections and improve cycle times. Implement and monitor 5S, Kaizen, and lean manufacturing principles. 3. Team Leadership & Development Supervise and lead production supervisors, machine operators, and shift engineers. Foster a culture of accountability, discipline, and continuous skill development. Conduct regular team meetings, job training, and technical workshops. 4. Operational Excellence & Cost Control Continuously analyze production data to identify areas for process improvement. Reduce scrap, energy consumption, and material wastage. Monitor OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and implement improvement initiatives. Optimize inventory levels and ensure just-in-time (JIT) supply to minimize stock-outs. 5. Safety & Regulatory Compliance Enforce EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards and ensure compliance with all legal regulations. Conduct regular safety training and incident reviews. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness on the shop floor in compliance with ISO or similar standards. 6. Documentation & Reporting Maintain production records, downtime analysis, and monthly performance reports. Report key KPIs such as production output, cycle time, defect rates, machine utilization, etc. Support audits (ISO, customer, internal) with relevant data and documentation. πŸ”Ή Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Production Engineering. MBA in Operations / Industrial Management (preferred but not mandatory). πŸ”Ή Experience Required: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Proven track record in Plastic Injection Moulding, especially in FMCG, automotive, or industrial products. Experience handling injection moulding machines (e.g., Haitian, Ferromatik Milacron, Toshiba, etc.) is highly desirable. Hands-on exposure to production planning software (ERP/SAP preferred). πŸ”Ή Key Competencies: Strong knowledge of plastic moulding processes, machine troubleshooting, and mold management. Leadership and team-building capabilities. Analytical skills and attention to detail. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Good verbal and written communication in Hindi, and Gujarati. πŸ”Ή Working Conditions: Full-time, on-site role at Olpad manufacturing facility. Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed to meet production deadlines. πŸ”Ή Remuneration: Range: 35k to 60k - depending upon your experience and skills.
