Inventory Management · Monitor inventory levels and track product movement · Optimize inventory levels to minimize waste and maximize freshness · Implement inventory management systems and processes 4. Supplier Relationship Management · Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers · Negotiate long-term contracts and agreements · Resolve supplier issues and conflicts 5. Market Research · Monitor market trends and prices · Identify new products and suppliers · Analyze market data to inform purchasing decisions 6. Cost Optimization · Analyze purchase data and identify cost-saving opportunities · Implement cost-effective purchasing strategies · Negotiate with suppliers to achieve better prices 7. Compliance · Ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements · Implement company policies and procedures · Conduct regular audits and risk assessments 8. Reports to the Commercial Head directly. 9. Arrange and participate in meetings between suppliers and company engineers and other personnel to facilitate standardization and economical procurement. 10. Stay abreast of global market trends, including prices, supply & demand dynamics and technological advancements. 11. Manage other members of the purchasing team.
