Role Objective We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in cutting, drilling, assembly, and bonding, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Hands on experience in mechanical assembly, including the assembly of components, troubleshooting, and testing. Strong knowledge of hand tools, precision instruments, and assembly drawings. Ability to interpret technical drawings and follow assembly instructions. Key Responsibilities: Cutting and Drilling: Perform precise cutting and drilling operations on various materials using hand and power tools. Assembly: Assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies of UAVs/Drones according to engineering drawings and specifications. Bonding: Apply bonding techniques to join parts securely. Quality Control: Inspect and test assembled parts to ensure they meet quality standards. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Safety: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Requirements: Experience: Minimum of 1- 4 years of experience in mechanical assembly, including cutting, drilling, and bonding. Education: 3-year Engineering Diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus. Skills: Proficiency with hand and power tools, ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, strong attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with specific tools and equipment used in mechanical assembly. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team. Working Conditions: This is a full-time position based in Bangalore that may require shift working, occasional evening or weekend work. May require travel to other locations of the company. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Operate and maintain various painting equipment, including but not limited to, spray guns, paint booths, and drying ovens. Prepare surfaces of composite components through cleaning, sanding, and masking processes to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply primers, paints, clear coats, and other protective coatings on composite and metal parts as per design specifications and quality standards. Perform buffing and polishing operations to achieve desired surface finish and aesthetic appearance. Conduct touch-up painting and repair work to address defects or damage during the manufacturing process. Assist in the development and optimization of painting processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. Conduct quality inspections on painted components using various measurement tools and techniques to ensure adherence to company standards. Document work activities, process parameters, and inspection results in accordance with company procedures and industry standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot painting issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues. Qualifications 3-year Diploma, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or a related field. Minimum of 1-4 years of experience in painting processes within the aerospace or UAV manufacturing industry. Skills and Abilities Knowledge of detailed painting processes, including surface preparation, pore filling, primers, paints, and protective coatings used in aviation and UAV applications. Familiarity with different types of paints, including polyurethane, epoxy, and acrylic-based coatings. Proficiency in using spray guns, airbrush systems, and other painting equipment. Understanding of surface defects, their causes, and corrective measures. Ability to interpret technical drawings, paint specifications, and process documentation. Basic knowledge of plastic bonding, composite-to-composite, composite-to-metal, and plastics-to-composites bonding. Familiarity with ISO and AS9100 quality standards would be a plus. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is desirable but not mandatory. Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements related to painting processes in aerospace manufacturing. Working Conditions: This is a full-time position based in Bangalore that may require shift working, occasional evening or weekend work. May require travel to other locations of the company.
