Verify identity and necessary documentation before collection. Explain procedures to donors/patients and address any concerns. Label samples accurately with correct patient/donor information. Ensure timely and safe transport of samples to the laboratory. Maintain sterile, functional equipment (needles, syringes, vials, etc.). Monitor inventory and request supplies as needed. Follow all biosafety, infection control, and health regulations. Dispose of sharps and biomedical waste according to protocols. Record collection details in registers or software systems. Prepare daily reports on collections and send them to the supervisor or lab. Assist in setting up blood donation camps or mobile collection units. Coordinate with donors and ensure smooth camp operations. Be prepared to manage donor reactions like dizziness, fainting, or nausea. Report any incidents to the supervisor or medical officer immediately.
