We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager with a strong track record in utility-scale Solar MW projects . The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing key client relationships, and driving the complete BD cycle—from lead generation to deal closure. This role requires strategic thinking, technical knowledge of large-scale solar projects, and strong negotiation skills. Responsibilities Identify and develop new business opportunities in MW-scale solar EPC, BOOT, and O&M projects. Build and maintain relationships with government departments, DISCOMs, industrial clients, EPC contractors, and consultants. Conduct detailed market research to identify project pipelines and bid opportunities in SECI, NTPC, state tenders, etc. Manage the end-to-end tendering process including pre-bid documentation, site feasibility, proposal drafting, and submission. Collaborate with engineering, finance, and legal teams to prepare techno-commercial offers. Represent the company at industry expos, client meetings, and investor forums. Negotiate project terms, commercial proposals, and contracts with clients and stakeholders. Monitor competitor activities and develop strategies to maintain a competitive edge. Provide monthly reports on BD pipeline, project status, and conversion ratios to senior management. Key Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Renewable Energy / MBA in Marketing or related field. 10–12 years of experience in solar MW project development . Proven experience in acquiring and executing government/IPP/industrial solar projects above 1 MW. Strong understanding of tendering processes, regulatory requirements, and land acquisition procedures. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to travel frequently for site visits, client meetings, and project negotiations.
