Description
As a Jira Atlassian Level 2 Support Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in providing advanced technical support for Atlassian tools, specifically Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting and resolving escalated issues from Level 1 support, ensuring the optimal performance and configuration of the Atlassian ecosystem, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the integration and usage of these tools. Your day-to-day tasks will involve providing Level 2 technical support for Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and other Atlassian tools, investigating and resolving escalated issues promptly, troubleshooting workflows, permission schemes, and custom configurations in Jira and Confluence, monitoring system performance and health, and assisting in user and group management, project configurations, and automation rule setups. Moreover, you will be responsible for maintaining documentation for common issues, solutions, and configuration guides, escalating complex issues to Atlassian support or internal development teams when necessary, assisting in plugin installations, upgrades, and minor tool customizations, and participating in Atlassian system maintenance and patching activities. To be successful in this role, you should have 2-4 years of experience in Atlassian Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket support or administration, a solid understanding of Jira project schemes, workflows, issue types, and permission models, familiarity with Jira Service Management (JSM) and Confluence administration, and experience in troubleshooting Atlassian Marketplace apps/plugins. Having the ability to read and analyze log files, basic scripting knowledge, and familiarity with incident management tools and ticketing systems will be beneficial. Soft skills such as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively, and a customer-centric mindset are essential for this role. Preferred qualifications include Atlassian Certified Professional (ACP) certification, ITIL Foundation or similar certification, exposure to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tools, or Agile frameworks.
