Jenkins and GitLab

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer with extensive experience in Jenkins, GitLab, and cloud platforms like Kubernetes, RedHat OpenShift, Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure to support rapid and reliable software delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• CI/CD Pipeline Management:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab CI for multiple projects.
  
• Automate build, test, and deployment workflows ensuring high availability and scalability.
  
• Implement best practices in source control, branching strategies, and pipeline orchestration.
  

• Cloud Infrastructure Management:

• Manage container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and RedHat OpenShift.
  
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain cloud infrastructure on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of cloud resources.
  
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  

• Collaboration & Support:

• Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline software delivery and support continuous improvement.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve build and deployment issues promptly.
  
• Provide guidance on DevOps best practices and tooling.
  

• Security & Compliance:

• Implement security best practices in CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure.
  
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
  

• Monitoring & Reporting:

• Set up and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure reliability and performance.
  
• Generate reports and dashboards to track pipeline metrics and system health.
  

Mandatory Skills:

• Extensive hands-on experience with

  Jenkins

  (pipeline scripting, plugins, administration).
• Strong knowledge and experience with

  GitLab CI/CD

  .
• Deep understanding of

  cloud platforms

  such as:

• Kubernetes / RedHat OpenShift

• Azure

  ,

  AWS

  , or

  Google Cloud

• Expertise in scripting languages (Shell, Python, Groovy).
  
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
  
• Strong understanding of containerization (Docker).
  
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
  
• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) is a plus.
  

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with microservices architecture and service mesh.
  
• Knowledge of security practices in DevOps (Secrets management, vulnerability scanning).
  
• Experience with artifact repositories (Nexus, Artifactory).
  
• Exposure to performance optimization and cost management on cloud platforms.
  
• Experience mentoring junior team members.
  

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
