Java Support(Production Support/Application Support)

• Strong Java coding and debugging skills; scripting and SQL experience preferred Core Skills: Proficiency in Java;
• knowledge of C/C++ is a plus
• Experience with SQL and RDBMS (Sybase ASE/IQ, DB2)
• Familiarity with scripting languages: Shell, Perl, JavaScript, Python
• Exposure to Big Data and cluster computing (Spark, Hadoop, HDFS) is a plus
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Effective communication and stakeholder engagement

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and resolve complex application issues collaboratively with team members
• Debug code and analyze logs to identify defects and trends
• Manage incidents and communicate with users and stakeholders
• Recommend permanent fixes to improve application stability and performance
• Leverage automation tools (including ML-based) to detect and remediate failures Identify and automate repetitive alerts/processes in collaboration with engineering teams
• Challenge existing setups and suggest improvements for stability and efficiency
• Participate in change management to mitigate production risks
• Build and enhance runbooks to reduce operational errors and improve efficiency
• Develop reports to track application health and support performance trends
