Solution Designer

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Solution Design

• Convert business requirements into clear and implementable technical architectures.
• Create architectural artifacts such as

  C4 diagrams

  , solution models, and building block designs.
• Define system components, data flows, APIs, and integration patterns.
• Ensure all solutions align with enterprise architecture and long-term technology strategy.
  

Technical Leadership

• Lead technical discussions and guide architectural decision-making.
• Ensure designs promote scalability, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure correct implementation of designs.
• Maintain architectural integrity and solution quality throughout the project lifecycle.
  

Collaboration & Support

• Work with business users, product managers, and enterprise architects to evaluate ideas and shape requirements.
• Mentor, coach, and support developersincluding onboarding and pair programming when required.
• Promote best engineering practices:

  clean code

  TDD

  ,

  BDD

  , secure development guidelines.

Integration & Delivery

• Design integrations across both modern platforms and legacy systems.
• Support DevOps practices to ensure smooth CI/CD, reliable releases, and automated testing.
• Conduct design reviews, architecture assessments, and performance evaluations.
  

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 13-16 years

  of experience in software development and solution/system design.
• Strong background in architecting and designing large-scale distributed systems and microservices.
• Proven experience integrating with both legacy and modern systems.
• Ability to lead architecture discussions and drive technical decisions.
  

Technical Skills

• Architecture & design frameworks:

  C4 modeling

  , solution modeling, building block design.
• Strong understanding of architecture and design patterns.
• Experience designing

  cloud-native

  applications (AWS preferred).
• Solid software engineering fundamentals with understanding of UI (Web/Mobile).
• Application and API security knowledge (preferred but not mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of:

• TDD, BDD

• Unit testing (JUnit)
• CI/CD (Jenkins)
• Version control (Git, Bitbucket)
• Build tools (Maven, Gradle)
• Code quality tools (SonarQube)

Tech Skills: C4 Modeling, Solution Modeling, Building Block Design, Microservices, Distributed Systems, AWS Cloud-Native Design, Application & API Security, UI (Web/Mobile) Basics, TDD/BDD, JUnit, Jenkins, Git/Bitbucket, Maven/Gradle, SonarQube.
