Roles & Responsibilities:

• Participate as a software developer on small Agile teams, delivering software-based solutions for migrating and modernizing customer legacy applications to MongoDB.
• Follow existing best practice migration playbooks where applicable and innovate to fill gaps with creative solutions to solve project-specific challenges.
• Be open to adopting new technologies and approaches, especially those related to GenAI advancements.
• Stay abreast of the latest GenAI developments and leverage cutting-edge technology to support migration projects.
• Actively participate in sprint grooming, planning, and showcases by contributing ideas and suggestions.
• Take direction from the technical lead and project manager, while proactively raising challenges and potential solutions.
• Study the current state of legacy applications and help plan, design, and implement the solution to migrate to the desired target state.
• Be flexible and ready to pivot direction based on changes in customer or account team priorities.

Experience Required:

• 3 - 9 years of experience in Core Java and Advanced Java.
• Solid background in Spring MVC and Spring Boot application development.
• Demonstrated experience in building applications that interact with relational databases using SQL.
• Experience with Enterprise Java (J2EE / JavaEE / Spring) architectures.
• Proven track record of delivering high-cadence modern applications using Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with test-first development approaches, CI/CD pipelines, and Git version control.
• Exposure to MongoDB migration projects is an added advantage.
• Nice-to-have experience with microservices architectures, Domain-Driven Design, and technologies such as Python, JavaScript/Node.js, Hibernate or JPA.
• Additional bonus for hands-on experience or familiarity with nascent GenAI technologies like OpenAI API with GPT LLMs.
