Java Developer with Security Vulnerability Remediation and APIGEE skills

As an experienced Java Developer with a strong understanding of Spring Boot and hands-on experience with APIGEE and Chef, your role will involve remediating reported security vulnerabilities and ensuring the security of enterprise applications. You will work closely with application teams, analyze security scanning reports, implement fixes, and collaborate on patch releases. In addition, you will enhance existing Java/Spring Boot applications to address security weaknesses, support API security using APIGEE, and use Chef for automating patch deployment if required. Key Responsibilities: - Analyse and remediate vulnerabilities reported by security scanning tools (e.g., OXSecurity, Qualys, Blackduck, etc.). - Collaborate with application development teams to implement security fixes and coordinate patch releases. - Work with CI/CD pipelines to ensure secure and compliant code deployments. - Enhance existing Java/Spring Boot applications to address security weaknesses. - Support API security and governance using APIGEE. - Use Chef for automating patch deployment and configuration changes, if required. - Maintain proper documentation of security fixes and track remediation progress. - Participate in vulnerability triage meetings and provide technical guidance on secure coding best practices. Required Skills: - Strong hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot development. - Familiarity with source control tools like Git and build tools like Maven or Gradle. - Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and patch production-level code efficiently. - Good collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams. - Understanding of web application security concepts. - Experience with vulnerability scanning tools and interpreting scan reports. - Exposure to APIGEE for API gateway management and security policies.
