Java Developer

As a Software Engineer - Python at KPMG in India, you will have the opportunity to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of Python-based applications. With 3 to 5 years of experience as a Python Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining applications using Python. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Writing clean, well-structured, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards will be a key aspect of your role. Additionally, you will conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, troubleshoot and debug issues, and provide timely resolutions. To excel in this role, you should have a strong portfolio of projects demonstrating at least 3 years of experience as a Python Developer. An in-depth understanding of Python software development stacks, ecosystems, frameworks, and tools such as Numpy, Scipy, Pandas, Dask, spaCy, NLTK, sci-kit-learn, and PyTorch is essential. Experience with popular Python frameworks like Django, Flask, or Pyramid, as well as working knowledge of Cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, will be beneficial. Moreover, familiarity with development tools like Git, Gradle, Maven, Sonar, Jenkins, Test-Driven Development (TDD), code testability standards, DevOps practices, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CICD) model, and Agile project management tools like JIRA are desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, time management skills, analytical abilities, and troubleshooting skills are key attributes for success in this role.
