Job Description

As a member of the Morgan Stanley Investment Management Technology (IMIT) team, you will collaborate closely with the Morgan Stanley Investment Management business division to develop and enhance systems that support various aspects of the business process such as Portfolio Analysis, Risk, Trading, Operations, and Sales & Marketing. You will also be involved in integrating vendor products to ensure seamless operations across the global landscape of the company. An exciting opportunity awaits you to join the Fixed Income Technology team at Morgan Stanley. As an experienced full stack developer, you will be an integral part of the global development team, contributing to the design and implementation of a modern technology stack that will drive efficiency for our Investment Teams. Your role will involve working on backend technologies like Core Java, Spring Boot, Python, FAST, Flask API, and relational databases, among others. Your responsibilities will encompass developing modern and modular applications adhering to coding and testing standards, actively participating in agile ceremonies, leveraging modern software development practices, and collaborating with a diverse team of technologists globally. Your innovative ideas and communication skills will play a crucial role in designing strategic solutions and engaging with end-users to meet their needs effectively. To excel in this role, you should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in developing enterprise JAVA Web applications, proficiency in writing unit, component, and integration tests, familiarity with relational databases, microservices, distributed systems, Python, and a basic understanding of financial markets and Equities. Strong Computer Science fundamentals will be essential for success in this dynamic environment.
