Job Description

You are a Java Developer based in Mumbai, working for Morgan Stanley, a global financial services firm known for its leadership in investment banking, securities, investment management, and wealth management services across more than 43 countries. Within Morgan Stanley Fund Services (MSFS), a subsidiary of Morgan Stanley, you will be part of the Workflow team, a core technology team that operates within an Agile environment. The team is responsible for developing a flexible workflow platform to support MSFS business processes, with the goal of offering a unified platform for operations users to efficiently manage their daily workload. Currently, the platform technology stack includes Angular/React front-ends, Java back-end (REST/SOAP, Spring Boot), relational databases (Sybase/Postgres), and messaging infrastructure. As a Java Developer in the Workflow team, you will play a crucial role in revamping the existing system and contributing to the creation of the next-generation MSFS workflow platform. Your responsibilities will include staying updated on the latest technological advancements, driving efficiency initiatives, and collaborating with key business stakeholders. Your strong development skills, along with your ability to write clean code in Java and work with relational databases, will be essential in this role. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of relevant enterprise-level experience, a Bachelor's degree or higher in any discipline, and a commitment to continuous learning and development. Experience with cloud technologies, API design, NoSQL data stores, full-stack application development, and agile methodologies are considered advantageous. Working in a global team and showcasing technological curiosity are among the key attributes valued for this role.
