Java Backend Developer

As a Product Engineer III - Backend at our company, you will be a crucial part of our engineering team, bringing your strong technical expertise and deep understanding of scalable product development to build high-performance applications. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems and microservices. - Building robust and efficient APIs and data integration solutions for dynamic frontend applications. - Collaborating with DevOps and architecture teams to ensure smooth deployments and system reliability. - Writing clean, maintainable, and testable code. - Contributing to continuous improvement in coding standards and development practices. Key Skills & Experience: - Strong expertise in Java and Spring Framework for building robust, scalable APIs and microservices. - Working knowledge of PostgreSQL for data modelling and query optimization. - Hands-on experience with Redpanda/Kafka or similar event-streaming technologies (good to have). - Familiarity with Hasura GraphQL or related API platforms (good to have). - Understanding of RESTful API design principles and security best practices. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines, code versioning (Git), and agile development workflows. General Requirements: - Strong Computer Science and Software Engineering fundamentals, including knowledge of algorithmic complexity & data structures, networking protocols & data formats, object-oriented analysis and design, and multithreading and concurrency. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Strong communication and collaboration abilities in an agile team environment. - Proactive, self-driven, and capable of taking ownership of deliverables.
