Java Backend Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain

  Java-based backend microservices

  using Spring Boot
• Architect and implement

  scalable, resilient, and high-availability systems

• Build and consume

  RESTful APIs

  and event-driven services using

  Apache Kafka

• Deploy, manage, and optimize applications on

  AWS cloud infrastructure

• Apply best practices for

  security, performance, and fault tolerance

• Lead and participate in

  code reviews, design discussions, and technical decisions

• Collaborate with DevOps teams on

  CI/CD pipelines

  and containerized deployments
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5–8+ years

  of hands-on experience in

  Java (8+) backend development

• Strong experience with

  Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Microservices architecture

• Solid hands-on experience with

  AWS services

  (EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda)
• Proven experience with

  Apache Kafka

  (producers, consumers, partitions, offsets)
• Experience designing

  event-driven and distributed systems

• Strong understanding of

  REST APIs

  , API security (OAuth2, JWT), and authentication mechanisms
• Experience with

  SQL and NoSQL databases

• Hands-on experience with

  Docker and Kubernetes

• Experience with

  unit and integration testing
