About the Role

Senior Java Backend Developer

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services using
Java (11+)
and
Spring Boot
.
Build and enhance
microservices
aligned with cloud-native and event-driven architectures.
Implement high-quality, testable, and scalable code following industry best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, QA, Product, Architecture) to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications on
Microsoft Azure Cloud
and
Kubernetes
environments.
Work with
Hibernate/JPA
, PostgreSQL, and other data systems to build reliable data-driven services.
Develop automated tests using
JUnit
and manage builds using
Maven
.
Troubleshoot production issues and participate in performance tuning and code optimization.
Stay current with emerging technologies and propose improvements to existing systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications

7+ years
of hands-on development experience with
Java
(Java 11+ preferred).
Strong expertise in
Spring Boot
,
Spring Framework
,
Hibernate/JPA
,
JUnit
, and
Maven
.
Proven experience designing and building
cloud-native microservices
and
event-driven
architectures.
Hands-on experience with
Microsoft Azure Cloud
services and
Kubernetes
.
Solid understanding of
PostgreSQL
or other relational database management systems.
Knowledge of
modern web technologies
, API design (REST), and integration patterns.
Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Good communication and collaboration abilities.

Nice-to-Have

Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
Knowledge of messaging systems like Kafka or Azure Service Bus.
Exposure to containerization (Docker) best practices.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
