Java Back End Developer

We are looking for Backend Engineer who possesses a passion for developing an innovative products that delight our customers. As part of the technical development team, you will develop highly scalable systems with the latest technologies. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Experience: 5-8 years

Technical Requirements:

• Excellent programming skills in writing Java-based API and microservices development including NodeJS.
• Familiarity and hands on with PostgreSQL and AWS S3.
• Familiarity and hands on with Mulesoft for data integration and API management.
• Familiarity and hands on with AWS and Azure deployment.
• Master in web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices.
• Working knowledge and/or experience with relational databases, ORM frameworks, and NoSQL systems.
• Experience in debugging and troubleshooting performant web services. Experience in SQL query analysis, log parsing, usage of toolsets and software packages to help with debugging, troubleshooting, code-fixes, sanity tests, builds & production deployments. \
• Ability to scope, review and refine user stories for technical completeness and to alleviate dependency risks.
• Well versed in working with agile methodologies which includes phases such as design, development, code review, testing and release management.
• Ability to have worked in a CI/CD environment, with hands on experience with Git or any similar source code management tools.
• Experience troubleshooting server performance issues such as memory tuning, GC tuning, resource leaks etc.

Role & responsibilities:

• Write well designed, reliable, highly scalable, available, secure, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.
• Java-based API and microservices development including NodeJS.
• Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
• Create and maintain software documentation.
• Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling the site.
• Stay plugged in to emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them in daily operations and activities.
• Liase with product owners and designers to meet the product requirements.
• Analyse issues in the complex system. SQL query analysis, log parsing, usage of toolsets and software packages to help with debugging, troubleshooting, code-fixes.
• Product Delivery and maintenance.
• Maintaining automated build / test / deployment environments.
