Java Automation Engineer

As a Java Automation Engineer at SISC, you will be responsible for developing end-to-end test automation scripts and solutions for web and mobile applications testing. You will have the opportunity to work with a team of passionate engineers on the latest technologies, contributing directly or indirectly to Sony's products like TV, PlayStation, Professional Camcorders, and more. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor of Engineering or Masters in Computer Science (or any equivalent degree) and have a total of 3-5 years of experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a relevant field. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and maintaining JAVA-based automation scripts with robust quality, as well as analyzing automation execution failures in a CI/CD system to enhance software quality. You should have a strong knowledge of Java programming, exposure to Java-based test automation frameworks, and experience with web application UI automation tools like Selenium and Appium. Additionally, hands-on experience with API testing, different testing methodologies, and QA exposure will be essential for this role. As a proactive team player, you will collaborate with developers and QA engineers to resolve blockers independently, contribute new ideas and solutions, and continuously improve automation frameworks and tools. Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps will be considered a plus. In this role, you will be expected to understand the application/domain thoroughly, take ownership from a QA perspective, and identify areas to enhance product quality through automation. You should be self-driven, accountable, and able to handle challenges effectively to achieve team goals.
