Java Architect

As a Software Architect at our product company, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise-scale applications. You will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and collaborate with a team of talented professionals in a supportive and friendly work environment. Your primary responsibilities will include designing and architecting Java Spring-based applications using technologies such as Postgres, Kafka, and other modern-day tools on a microservices stack. Additional knowledge of frameworks like Spark and Play would be advantageous. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex technical challenges and participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality code standards are maintained. In this role, you will implement best practices for software development, testing, and deployment, as well as design and develop RESTful and GraphQL APIs to support product features and integrations. Performance tuning and optimization of software systems will also be part of your responsibilities. Moreover, you will provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers while continuously improving software engineering processes and methodologies. To be successful in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field and have over 10 years of experience in Java Spring development. Proficiency in Postgres, Kafka, and experience with AWS are essential. You should also have a background in writing Unit and Integration Tests with frameworks like Junit and Mockito, along with prior experience in designing, performance tuning, and maintaining enterprise-scale applications using tools like Dynatrace and New Relic. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively are key qualifications for this position.
