Java Application Developer- Cloud Native

As a Java Engineer at UBS, you will be working in a true agile environment, designing and building cutting-edge digital products for WMA clients and Advisors. You will collaborate with Java/UI/QA engineers and WMA business to develop modern distributed applications in cloud and hybrid models. Your role will involve application design & development using SDLC methodologies, Agile, and waterfall processes. Additionally, you will work closely with multiple IT & business stakeholders to develop high-performance and scalable solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, design, maintain, and integrate distributed applications in Java J2EE - Implement technical solutions within NEO/OLS platform in WMA - Ensure timely project delivery following agile/scrum SDLC - Collaborate with Java/UI/QA engineers and WMA business - Gain hands-on experience in building applications in cloud and hybrid models - Understand business requirements and develop high-performance solutions Qualifications Required: - At least 5+ years of hands-on experience in developing distributed applications in Java J2EE - Minimum 4 years of experience with web services and microservices - Strong knowledge of Java, application web services (REST or SOAP), Spring framework, and Spring Boot - Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, with Azure being preferred - Proficiency in IT infrastructure components like proxy/web seal/caching/DB - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills - Exposure to enterprise integration and messaging technologies like JMS, MQ, and/or Kafka - Experience with cloud integration, container services, and agile-based execution processes - Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or information technology UBS, the world's largest global wealth manager, operates through four business divisions: Global Wealth Management, Personal & Corporate Banking, Asset Management, and the Investment Bank.
