Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced ITI Fitter to join our Steel Melting Shop at our integrated steel plant in Raipur. The ideal candidate will be responsible for mechanical fitting, assembly, maintenance, and repair of equipment used in steel melting operations. Key Responsibilities: Carry out fitting, assembly, and alignment of mechanical parts in SMS area (Furnace, CCM, Ladle, Cranes, etc.) Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of melting shop machinery Maintain proper records of daily maintenance work Ensure smooth functioning of mechanical systems and minimize downtime Assist in overhauling of mechanical equipment like pumps, gearboxes, blowers, motors, etc. Follow safety protocols and ensure a clean work environment Collaborate with electricians, welders, and production teams during maintenance activities Support continuous improvement and preventive maintenance activities Qualifications & Skills: Education: ITI – Fitter Trade (NCVT/SCVT certified) Experience: 1–5 years in a steel plant SMS preferred; Freshers may apply Technical Skills: Knowledge of hydraulic & pneumatic systems Experience in handling tools, machines, and measuring instruments Understanding of technical drawings and mechanical assemblies Soft Skills: Team player with good communication skills Willing to work in shifts (including night shifts) Physically fit and able to work in a hot and demanding environment Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Benefits: Paid sick time Paid time off Schedule: Rotational shift Work Location: In person
