Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Fitting and Assembly

Perform
installation, alignment, and maintenance
of pumps, valves, gearboxes, agitators, pipelines, and other mechanical equipment.
Assist in
dismantling and assembling rotating and static equipment
during preventive and corrective maintenance.
Carry out
pipe fitting, threading, welding (if skilled)
, and basic fabrication jobs as required.

Routine & Preventive Maintenance

Execute
daily maintenance tasks
as per schedule or instructions from supervisors.
Ensure equipment is properly lubricated, aligned, and functioning as per specifications.
Report any unusual noise, leakage, or vibration immediately to maintenance supervisors.

Chemical Plant Safety & Operations

Work in compliance with all
safety rules, PPE usage, and permit-to-work systems
in hazardous areas.
Support mechanical maintenance during
plant shutdowns and turnarounds
.
Cooperate with cross-functional teams during breakdowns and utility failures.

Documentation & Housekeeping

Maintain records of maintenance work completed.
Keep tools, workshop, and work areas clean and organized.
Ensure proper tagging and storage of dismantled parts or replaced components.
