Maintenance Job Description

Role Overview

We are looking for a Junior Packaging Mechanic to join our team at MICO Plast Industries Private Limited. In this role, you will support the assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting of packaging machinery, ensuring that production lines operate efficiently and safely. You will work closely with senior mechanics and operators to gain hands-on experience and develop your technical skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of packaging machinery and related equipment

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on packaging equipment under the guidance of senior mechanics

• Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and safety protocols

• Document maintenance activities, machine performance, and any issues encountered during production

• Collaborate with team members to optimize machine performance and reduce downtime

• Participate in training sessions to enhance technical knowledge and skills

Required and Preferred Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and principles

• A willingness to learn and develop technical skills in packaging machinery

Preferred:

• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting

• Familiarity with packaging machinery and processes

• Basic knowledge of electrical and pneumatic systems

Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies

• Understanding of mechanical assembly and disassembly

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical schematics and blueprints

• Familiarity with hand tools and precision measuring instruments

Soft Skills and Cultural Fit

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

This role requires successful candidates to be based in-person at our facility in MICO Plast Industries Private Limited, Vyasarpadi, Chennai -39

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹30,621.49 per month
