Job Title: IT Faculty

Location: ALIMS B School, Kochi
Department: Academics – Information Technology
Reports To: Head of the Department / Academic Dean

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic IT Faculty member to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in IT-related subjects to BBA, B.Com, and MBA students, guiding them in practical application, and staying updated with current technological trends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching & Instruction
• Deliver lectures in areas such as Computer Applications, Management Information Systems (MIS), Data Analytics, E-Commerce, and other relevant IT subjects.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assignments aligned with the academic curriculum.
• Conduct practical sessions using tools like Excel, Python, R, SQL, and other business-relevant software.
• Student Engagement & Assessment
• Monitor student progress and provide academic support.
• Design and evaluate examinations, quizzes, and project work.
• Encourage innovation and critical thinking through IT-based projects.
• Curriculum & Course Development
• Develop and revise course content in collaboration with academic coordinators.
• Incorporate the latest industry trends and technology into the syllabus.
• Research & Development
• Participate in faculty development programs, research, and publishing in peer-reviewed journals (preferred, but not mandatory).
• Guide students on IT-based research or live projects.
• Institutional Contribution
• Assist in organizing workshops, seminars, and tech talks.
• Support the admissions, placements, and marketing teams by providing technical input or training as required.

Qualifications:

• Essential:
• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MCA, or equivalent.
• Strong command over programming tools and IT applications used in business.
• Preferred:
• UGC NET / SET / PhD (for candidates interested in research & full-time academia).
• Experience teaching undergraduate or postgraduate students.

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in MS Office and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Adaptability to both offline and online teaching modes.
• Passion for teaching and mentoring students.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
