IT Quality Assurance Analyst - Senior

Role Overview: As a Test Analyst at Cummins Inc., you will be responsible for developing functional and technical test methodologies, plans, scenarios, and cases for testing applications and systems at various stages of development and implementation. You will coordinate and execute testing to ensure quality solutions and efficient system performance. Your role will involve reporting testing results and tracking the resolution of issues identified during testing. Key Responsibilities: - Create and execute various testing documentation based on business and technical requirements - Provide feedback on testing results and ensure defects are logged, tracked, resolved, re-tested, closed, and reviewed by stakeholders - Ensure applications and solutions adhere to high-quality standards - Analyze information systems, identify, and document quality-related issues - Work with Business Analysts to develop customer relationships and ensure applications meet business needs - Apply various testing methodologies within different development methodologies (waterfall, agile & iterative) - Work closely to understand and align with Change & Release management policies to support testing needs prior to deployment to Production - Apply testing tools and processes in support of the Cummins SDLC model - Carry out routine and semi-routine tasks of large projects as well as complex tasks of small projects - May coach and mentor less experienced quality analysts - Maintain strong relationships to deliver business value using relevant Business Relationship Management practices Qualifications Required: - College, university, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related subject, or relevant equivalent experience - Intermediate level of relevant work experience required (3-5 years) - Test Strategy & Coverage: Design and execute sprint-based test plans, ensure comprehensive validation through a mix of automated and manual testing, maintain traceability between user stories and test cases - Issue Resolution & Deployment Quality: Log and prioritize defects, validate release candidates through regression and smoke testing, monitor post-deployment metrics and conduct root cause analysis - Automation & Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain automated test suites, provide clear QA reports, engage stakeholders during sprint reviews and demos, continuously refine QA processes based on feedback - Professional Experience: 5+ years in the manufacturing industry specializing in IT systems quality assurance and process reliability, track record in leading QA initiatives for MES platforms, enterprise applications, and integration projects - Technical Proficiency: Platforms including DELMIA Apriso, .NET, MS SQL, Oracle scripting, QA Tools such as Tosca, Rational Functional Tester (RFT), automation and testing tools, programming languages like Python, R, Java, C++, infrastructure familiarity with Azure, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes Additional Company Details: Cummins Inc. is a global leader in the manufacturing industry, with a focus on IT systems quality assurance and process reliability.
