IT Infrastructure Support Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., Microsoft Azure)
• Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability; proactively address issues and outages
• Implement and enforce robust security measures to protect company data and IT assets
• Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution to ensure business continuity
• Support capacity planning and scalability initiatives to meet organizational growth
• Maintain accurate documentation of infrastructure architecture, configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Serve as a liaison between end users and Tier 2/Tier 3 support teams
• Respond to and resolve technical issues via email, ticketing systems, and phone support
• Provide onboarding support, including orientation and training on IT systems and software
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related problems for end users
• Install, configure, and maintain laptops, desktops, printers, and other peripheral devices
• Maintain logs of repairs, fixes, and preventive maintenance schedules
• Support installation and configuration of Printers/CCTV/PC/UPS systems and related infrastructure
• Ensure compliance with endpoint protection policies and network security protocols
• MPDV IoT System Implementation on Shopfloor area

Preferred candidate profile

• BE Computer/IT/E&Tc or Diploma Computer/IT with Network Certifications A+, N+ ,CCNA and Microsoft Certification like MCSA/MCSE
• Minimum 4-5 year experience in Windows and Networking

Technical knowledge :

• TCP/IP Fundamentals: Subnetting, routing, switching
• Active Directory & Group Policy: User management, domain services, access control
• DNS/DHCP: Configuration and troubleshooting
• Ticketing Systems: ITSM, Jira
• Virtualization: VMware, Hyper-V
• IT coordination/ Technical support exposure
• Network management, windows environment and help desk support knowledge
• Sound knowledge of IT systems and applications
• Understanding of TCP/IP protocols and LAN/WAN configuration
• Proficiency in configuring and managing Windows servers and network switches.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols and security best practices.
• Relevant certifications e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Cisco CCNA
