IT Head/IT Manager

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Manager IT / Head IT to lead our IT operations in a dynamic software development environment. The ideal candidate should have 10+ years of hands-on experience managing IT infrastructure and support services with strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 Tenant Administration, MS Exchange, firewall and network management, hardware troubleshooting, website maintenance, and internet connectivity. This individual must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling smooth coordination with developers, stakeholders, vendors, and leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities:IT Operations & Infrastructure ManagementLead all IT operations and infrastructure strategy for a fast-paced software company.Manage developer machines, shared servers, version-controlled environments, and system uptime.Standardize processes and tools for hardware lifecycle, user provisioning, and technical support.Microsoft 365 & MS Exchange AdministrationManage and administer the full Microsoft 365 tenant (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, etc.).Maintain and support Microsoft Exchange Online, including mailbox creation, transport rules, retention policies, and email security.Configure Azure Active Directory and Microsoft Intune for identity and device management.Network & Firewall ManagementAdminister internal/external network setup, secure VPNs for remote developers, and Wi-Fi configurations.Monitor and manage firewall appliances (SonicWall/Fortinet), set access control rules, and ensure perimeter security.Conduct periodic audits to ensure the integrity and availability of network services.Hardware & Asset SupportOversee procurement, installation, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.Maintain detailed hardware/software inventory and ensure timely upgrades and replacements.Provide direct L1/L2 support to team members for Windows/Linux/Mac systems as needed.Website & Domain ManagementSupervise public and internal website management, including staging environments and hosting platforms.Handle domain registration, SSL certificate management, DNS settings, and overall website uptime.Work with developers or agencies to ensure website patches and CMS updates are applied on time.Security & ComplianceImplement IT security policies, access control procedures, and backup & disaster recovery strategies.Conduct regular endpoint and infrastructure vulnerability assessments.Collaborate with security and DevOps teams to maintain a secure code and development environment.Vendor Management & Team SupervisionLead the IT support team and manage third-party vendors for hardware/software procurement and support.Ensure adherence to SLAs and smooth delivery of support services across departments.Maintain updated AMC records, licensing information, and vendor agreements.Strategic Planning & Management ReportingPresent detailed IT performance reports, incident logs, and project updates to senior management.Forecast future infrastructure needs in line with the companys scaling roadmap.Contribute to budgeting, IT audits, and business continuity planning.Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications:Bachelor's/Master's in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.6-10 years of experience managing IT systems in a software development or IT services environment.In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 Admin Center, Microsoft Exchange Online, Azure AD, Intune, and security center.Proficient in managing firewalls, VPNs, routers/switches, and internet connectivity.Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and analytical skills.Strong communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Preferred Certifications:Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate / Microsoft 365 Enterprise AdministratorMicrosoft Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate (Exchange)CompTIA Network+ / Cisco CCNAITIL Foundation Certification
