Location: Valls, Tarragona, Spain As a Field Services Engineer at Wipro, you will play a crucial role in providing IT infrastructure field support and ensuring high-quality service delivery. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting hardware, software, and operating system issues while upholding hardware warranties and customer security compliance requirements. Effective customer management, clear communication, and collaborative teamwork are essential aspects of this role. Key Responsibilities: End User Support: - Provide IT infrastructure field support, addressing hardware, software, and operating system issues. - Resolve issues without compromising hardware warranties or violating customer security compliance. - Ensure professional and effective customer interactions. - Collaborate with customers at various levels, demonstrating self-drive and a results-oriented approach. - Exhibit passion for the work and meet deadlines consistently. Hardware Troubleshooting and Repair: - Install and troubleshoot hardware issues for laptops, desktops, printers, and related accessories. - Possess basic knowledge of enterprise LAN, WAN, and server configurations. - Perform physical assistance activities at various sites under instruction. - Assist with conference room A/V equipment and troubleshoot related issues. - Provide support for peripheral and networking hardware, including configuring and troubleshooting basic VOIP phone systems. Operating System & Software: - Deliver desk-side support for installing and troubleshooting operating systems (Windows 7/10, Mac, Linux). - Experience with anti-spyware, anti-virus software, and standard software applications. - Configure and troubleshoot office applications and mobile device management systems. - Understand TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, VPN, RDP principles, and data backups. - Contribute to creating knowledge base articles and ensure timely resolution of service requests. Tools & Process: - Demonstrate knowledge and experience with service requests and incident management processes. - Preferably hold an Associates Degree in Electronics and CompTIA A+ Certification. - Familiarity with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow and Remedy. Qualifications: - Experienced in IT infrastructure field support. - Strong customer management, oral, and written communication skills. - Ability to work with customers at different levels, self-driven, and result-oriented. - Passionate about the work and able to meet deadlines consistently.
