IT Engineer, Lead

Qualcomm India Private Limited is looking for a SCM Technical member with 6-8+ years of experience as a Perforce Administrator to join the Software Engineering IT team. As part of the Global Engineering IT organization, you will support Qualcomm's next generation engineering innovations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in administering Perforce SCM system, managing a large-scale and globally distributed implementation of Perforce and other SCM systems. In this role, you will contribute to projects, strategic initiatives, and operational support in collaboration with the Product Owner/Operations Owner. Minimum Qualifications: - 4+ years of IT-related work experience with a Bachelor's degree OR - 6+ years of IT-related work experience without a Bachelor's degree Physical Requirements: - Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 20 lbs. Key Responsibilities: - Install, configure, administer, and extend Perforce for software development purposes. - Set up and maintain Edge Replica servers for load balancing and Business Continuity. - Maintain/Configure Perforce SWARM & Code-Collaborator environments for Code Review. - Assist with the implementation of security policies, LDAP groups, and Perforce protections, focusing on automation, security, and efficiency. - Define requirements for hosted servers and cloud services to support Perforce based Continuous Integration workflows. - Work with the Splunk Business Intelligence tool for developing reports and monitoring conducive to predictive analytics and self-healing. - Define, implement, and improve workflows and processes including branching strategies, integration, disaster recovery, and archiving. - Integrate various tools in the DevOps toolchain to accelerate Engineering Tool team's velocity while maintaining high standards for quality and consistency. - Strong background in Linux System Administration and storage concepts (NAS/SAN). - Decent knowledge of Network concepts.
