This individual contributor is primarily responsible for translating business requirements and functional specifications into Business Objects, back-end PL/SQL, and other reporting software solutions (such as Epic Reporting WorkBench), maintaining reports and SQL code, assisting with release to production, and taking direction from senior developers located in the USA and India. Opportunity to learn Epic Reporting WorkBench, if the candidate does not already know this tool.
List primary and specific job duties performed daily in order of importance.
- Works with reporting team located in the USA to keep a mature inventory of Business Objects reports and back-end SQL procedures maintained, as required when the Epic Tapestry AP source system is upgraded, which occurs twice yearly.
- Receives manifest of changes and release notes from Epic, identifies impacted reports and SQL procedures, and works with the reporting team to address gaps and remediate issues introduced by the planned release of the next version of Epic Tapestry AP (twice yearly). - Troubleshoots and maintains back-end Oracle PL/SQL routines which support the report inventory. - Works with the reporting team on performance improvements and enhancements as required. - Completes report development and analytical work assignments by applying relevant SQL-tools knowledge to a very large set of health-care claims data; follows established procedures and policies, applying SQL skills to support projects and initiatives - Adheres to established priorities, deadlines, and expectations while collaborating with the reporting team, other SQL developers, testers and business analysts, often cross-functionally, to solve business problems; communicates progress and relevant information. - Updates report documentation as required to support report testing before production release. - Recommends improvement opportunities and escalates risks and issues appropriately.

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum three (3) years experience in software development or a related field. - Minimum two (2) years demonstrating Business Objects development. - Minimum one (1) year demonstrating Oracle PL/SQL development.

- Understanding of shell scripts and SFTP protocols - Familiarity with Tableau - Familiarity with informatica or other ETL tools - Healthcare data or claims adjudication data experience - Additional equivalent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement
