IT Data Engineer

Qualcomm India Private Limited is currently seeking a skilled IT Data Engineer to join the Information Technology Group. As an IT Data Engineer, you will be responsible for utilizing your expertise in SQL to write efficient queries, solve real-world case studies, and work on advanced topics such as window functions and CTEs. Additionally, you will need to have a good understanding of Python basics, including data cleaning with Pandas and NumPy, as well as experience in automation. Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Splunk is essential for this role. You will be expected to present actionable insights, build dashboards, create data models, develop visually engaging reports and alerts, and manage data refresh schedules effectively. A solid understanding of statistical concepts like mean, median, mode, standard deviation, hypothesis testing, and probability will be advantageous. The ideal candidate for this position should have at least 4 years of IT-related work experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Alternatively, candidates with 6+ years of IT-related work experience without a Bachelor's degree will also be considered. Additionally, the applicant should have at least 2 years of programming experience (e.g., Java, Python), 1+ year of experience with SQL or NoSQL databases, and 1+ year of experience with data structures and algorithms.
