IP Analyst- Patent Filing

Role Overview: Arctic Invent, a leading intellectual property firm specializing in patent, trademark, and copyright services, is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join their team as an IP Analyst at their Noida-based office. As an IP Analyst, you will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and filing statutory forms under the Indian Patents Act, coordinating filing processes for various patent applications, maintaining accurate IP records, and liaising with inventors and external patent agents. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare, review, and file statutory forms required under the Indian Patents Act, such as Form 1, 2, 3, 5, 18, 26, etc. - Coordinate end-to-end filing process for Indian patent applications including provisional, complete specifications, PCT national phase, and convention applications. - Track and respond to First Examination Reports (FERs) and IPO notices within stipulated timelines. - Maintain accurate IP records and track deadlines using internal IP management systems or docketing tools. - Liaise with inventors, R&D teams, and external patent agents/attorneys for collecting necessary documentation and declarations. - Conduct basic IP due diligence and assist with the formalities check of applications submitted. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in science/engineering or law (Preferred: B.Tech, B.Sc., or LLB). - 1-2 years of hands-on experience with Indian patent filing processes. - Familiarity with all major Indian Patent Office forms and formalities. - Proficient in preparing and filing Forms 1, 2, 3, 5, 18, 26, and others. - Strong understanding of the Indian patent system, timelines, and legal requirements. - Good communication skills for working with inventors. - Proficient in using IP databases (InPASS, WIPO, etc.) and MS Office tools. - Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple filings simultaneously.
