Investor Relations Specialist

As an Investor Relations Specialist based in Mumbai with 4-8 years of experience, you will be responsible for various key aspects of managing portfolios, maintaining relationships with founders and stakeholders, ensuring governance and compliance, and supporting fund operations if required. Your primary responsibilities will include tracking, analyzing, and reporting on the performance of portfolio companies in financial, operational, and strategic aspects. You will develop and maintain internal dashboards, prepare reports and presentations for LPs and internal stakeholders. Additionally, you will serve as the main point of contact for portfolio companies, offering strategic guidance, assistance in hiring, partnerships, fundraising, and operations support. In terms of governance and compliance, you will coordinate board meetings, ensure compliance with investment covenants, reporting obligations, and corporate governance norms. You will also work closely with legal, tax, and audit advisors for portfolio-level support. If fund operations fall within your scope, you will support internal fund processes such as fund audits, investor reporting, and capital calls, collaborating with investment and legal teams during new investments or follow-ons. Moreover, you will provide customer support to investors and founders, addressing queries related to fund updates, business updates, and exit events, ensuring high customer satisfaction and adherence to SLAs. You will also assist investors and founders with exit processes and shutdown-related formalities, promoting transparency and compliance within the system. To qualify for this role, you should have 4-8 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, consulting, corporate strategy, or startup operations. Strong financial modeling and business analysis skills are essential, along with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Prior exposure to the Indian startup ecosystem, wealth advisory, and financial services firms is preferred. A qualification such as CA, CFA, CPA, or CS will be an added advantage.
