Investment Accounting Business Analyst - Senior Consultant

As a Business Analyst in the EY GDS Consulting Investment Accounting team, you will have the opportunity to manage and deliver cutting-edge solutions to clients in the investment management industry. Your role will involve collaborating with key stakeholders and technical teams to ensure successful delivery of solutions. Here are the responsibilities and qualifications required for this role: **Key Responsibilities:** - Proven experience in portfolio and fund accounting within the investment management industry. - Hands-on exposure to accounting platforms such as BlackRock Aladdin, Geneva, and SimCorp Dimension. - Demonstrated ability to contribute to data migration and platform implementation projects, particularly within accounting systems. - Solid understanding of security reference data and its critical role in financial systems and processes. - Extensive expertise across multiple asset classes, including fixed income, equities, and derivatives, covering front, middle, and back-office operations for both buy-side and sell-side institutions. - In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices throughout the entire product life cycle. - Skilled in performing accounting data reconciliations and conducting financial impact analyses to ensure data integrity across systems. - Capable of translating client requirements into actionable insights for technical teams. - Strong leadership qualities and excellent client-facing communication skills. - Strong techno-functional knowledge of core wealth/asset management platforms such as Aladdin, SimCorp Dimension, and Geneva. - Technical experience with relational data models and SQL queries. - Proficiency in Oracle, MS SQL, or DB2 databases with strong data analytics skills. - Advanced Excel and VBA skills. **Qualifications Required:** - Proven experience in portfolio and fund accounting within the investment management industry. - Hands-on exposure to accounting platforms such as BlackRock Aladdin, Geneva, and SimCorp Dimension. - Demonstrated ability to contribute to data migration and platform implementation projects, particularly within accounting systems. - Solid understanding of security reference data and its critical role in financial systems and processes. - Extensive expertise across multiple asset classes, including fixed income, equities, and derivatives, covering front, middle, and back-office operations for both buy-side and sell-side institutions. - In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices throughout the entire product life cycle. - Familiarity with STAT reporting is a strong advantage. - Understanding of financial statements.
