Job Description

As a Solar Inverter Technician, your role involves commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, and analyzing solar (PV) inverters. You will be responsible for documenting and reporting site visits and service calls, ensuring compliance with site safety procedures, and performing work in a safety-conscious manner. Developing a detailed knowledge of Power Electronics products will be a key aspect of your job. You will also perform electrical preventative and corrective maintenance on solar inverters, with travel requirements ranging from a 1-6-hour drive radius to any part of India. Additionally, you will continue to train on current and new products, applying technical knowledge gained from in-depth training sessions. Conducting on-site safety audits to ensure policy compliance and maintaining an up-to-date inventory of parts in the region will be part of your responsibilities. Site audits may also be necessary as per requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Commission, troubleshoot, repair, and analyze solar (PV) inverters - Document and report site visits and service calls - Follow site safety procedures and perform work in a safety-conscious manner - Develop a detailed knowledge of Power Electronics products - Perform electrical preventative and corrective maintenance on solar inverters - Travel within a 1-6-hour radius and to any part of India - Continue training on current and new products - Apply technical knowledge gained from in-depth training - Conduct on-site safety audits for policy compliance - Maintain an up-to-date inventory of parts in the region - Perform site audits as necessary Qualifications Required: - High level of electrical aptitude with troubleshooting ability - High level of mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting ability - Electrical Engineer or Technician with 2-5 years of experience in power electronics, preferably Solar Inverters, Renewable energy equipment - Previous utility-scale solar/wind experience preferred - Experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting PV systems preferred - Experience installing all types of grid-tied inverters preferred - PV System site inspections experience preferred - Passionate, rigorous, and dynamic with the ability to teach - Enjoy sharing knowledge and experience - Collaborative mindset to work with different offices in a virtual team - Good prioritization, organization, analytical, and planning skills - Excellent communication and customer service skills - Flexibility and customer focus with the ability to identify and solve customer issues - Team player with the ability to travel frequently within the Region and globally with limited notice or no calendar (Note: Benefits include cell phone reimbursement and internet reimbursement. This is a full-time, permanent position with a day shift schedule. The work location is in person.),
