As a member of the global international tax team at Bechtel, you will have the opportunity to join a seasoned and dynamic 37-person team in one of the world's largest private companies. The primary function of this position is to timely prepare and support assigned responsibilities relating to U.S. international tax compliance, quarterly tax provision, and forecasting, while supporting regional tax teams in APAC, EAM, and the Americas. **Major Responsibilities:** - Prepare U.S. international tax return schedules and workpapers, supporting tax return and reporting information. - Follow departmental review procedures, practices, and instructions in preparing U.S. tax returns, reports, and filings. - Communicate with businesses to request appropriate information as needed. - Support the preparation of the quarterly tax provision and analyze tax information for year-end financial statements. - Prepare foreign entity tax provision, forecasts, and FIN 48/ASC 740-10 uncertain tax positions, coordinating with regional tax teams as necessary. - Reconcile tax accounts. - Participate in tax special projects and training for career development. - Actively support and coordinate with tax team members located in Australia, the U.K., and the U.S. **Education and Experience Requirements:** - Accounting undergraduate or masters degree. - Minimum 3 to 6 years of international and corporate tax experience with a Big 4 accounting firm and/or industry. - Completed or working towards post-graduate qualifications such as Chartered Accountant, CPA, MBA, or Masters of Tax. **Required Knowledge and Skills:** - Strong technical knowledge of U.S. and/or foreign corporate/international tax rules. - Experience with U.S. foreign information form preparation and knowledge of tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740 / IAS 12. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Word, OneSource tax return software. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to work well in a virtual team environment and manage multiple tasks.
