Internal Auditor

Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Internal Auditor to manage daily auditing and compliance activities across departments within our hospital. The ideal candidate will be responsible for verifying financial transactions, stock, billing accuracy, and staff attendance to ensure transparency and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily verification of front office cash, voucher payments, and patient bills
• Cross-check oxygen cylinder receipts with credit memos
• Receive and audit stock for pharmacy and general stores against purchase orders
• Physically verify outsourced staff attendance and audit monthly registers
• Monitor ambulance distance logs and vehicle usage
• Conduct daily audits of pharmacy and general store billing
• Coordinate with vendors to confirm rates for cash purchases
• Validate inpatient billing with equipment usage and activity cards
• Confirm package inclusions for room rents and services
• Track patient indents, returns, and issues daily
• Check accounting accuracy for inpatient and outpatient dues
• Monitor canteen meal records and billing
• Verify sources of marketing and walk-in patients
• Review weight and pricing of hospital items including scrap
• Daily laundry count verification for dispatch and receiving
• Inspect security logs and permission registers; confirm with HODs as needed
• Assist HR in matching staff salaries between PagarBook and manual records
• Support overtime control efforts with HR coordination
• Assist external auditors during monthly audits

Requirements:

• Graduate in Commerce, Accounting, or relevant field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in internal auditing (hospital/healthcare preferred)
• Strong knowledge of auditing practices and hospital workflows
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel, billing systems, and manual record auditing
