Description
Job Role As a System and Network Administrator Intern, you will assist in maintaining and optimizing our IT systems and network infrastructure. You will work under the guidance of experienced IT Manager and administrators to support system operations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the smooth functioning of our IT environment. Responsibilities Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software. Support daily operations, including monitoring system performance and performing routine system checks. Help troubleshoot and resolve network and system issues in a timely manner. Aid in the management of user accounts, permissions, and access controls. Assist with the implementation and maintenance of security measures to protect IT systems and data. Document and update technical procedures, systems configurations, and troubleshooting guides. Participate in IT projects and initiatives, providing support and contributing to the development of solutions. Manage the inventory of IT resources, including hardware and software. Administer and oversee the health of all printers. Provide technical support to end-users and assist with training on IT tools and systems. Help in routine/scheduled audits of the systems, including all backups. Travelling across the Eruvaka branches based on the need. Required Skills Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Administration, or a related field. Basic understanding of network concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux). Familiarity with system administration tasks, such as managing user accounts and permissions. Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl, or other language. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills and a willingness to learn new technologies and skills. Qualifications Previous experience or coursework related to network administration, systems management, or IT support. Basic knowledge of network hardware, such as routers, switches, and firewalls. Familiarity with scripting or automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is a plus. Azure Active directory skills is a plus. Professional Certifications MCSA is plus. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) are a plus but not required This opportunity is only to start your career as Intern for 6 months.
