Roles and Responsibilities:

Intern Competition Analysis (Finance Department)

Objective:

To support the finance team in gathering, analyzing, and presenting competitive intelligence to inform strategic decision-making and enhance market positioning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Market Research & Data Collection:

• Conduct secondary research on competitors’ financial performance, pricing strategies, product offerings, and market positioning.
• Track industry trends, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic indicators impacting the competitive landscape.

• Financial Benchmarking:

• Assist in comparing key financial metrics (e.g., revenue, profit margins, cost structures) across competitors.
• Support in identifying performance gaps and opportunities for improvement.

• Data Analysis & Reporting:

• Analyze collected data to extract insights and trends.
• Prepare dashboards, charts, and presentations summarizing findings for internal stakeholders.

• Strategic Insights:

• Contribute to SWOT analyses and competitor profiling.
• Support the finance team in preparing strategic recommendations based on competitive insights.

• Collaboration & Communication:

• Work closely with finance, strategy, and marketing teams to align competitive analysis with business goals.
• Participate in team meetings and present findings as needed.

• Documentation & Knowledge Management:

• Maintain organized records of research sources, data sets, and analysis reports.
• Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in handling sensitive financial information.
