Description
As an Intern-Control Engineer at Kitron, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of programs related to industrial automation. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in the field of Automation. - Assist in the design and development of electrical control systems and panel layouts for industrial automation machines used in PCB assembly and testing. - Support PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, OMRON, etc.) for machine automation, logic control, and system integration. - Contribute to the programming and integration of industrial robots (e.g., SCARA, 6-axis) for pick-and-place operations, soldering, screwing, and inspection systems. - Aid in preparing and updating wiring diagrams, schematics, and control panel layouts using tools like EPLAN. - Participate in debugging and testing PLC logic, HMI interfaces, and robotic sequences to ensure correct operation and safety compliance. - Assist in the development of interlock logic, safety circuits, and emergency stop systems in adherence with industrial safety standards. - Work with cross-functional teams to support machine commissioning and troubleshoot integration issues. - Document test results, electrical schematics, and control logic changes for future reference and continuous improvement initiatives. - Learn and apply concepts of SCADA, sensor integration, and networking protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, ProfiNet, EtherCat) in automation systems. - Coordinate with vendors to identify suitable components, request quotations, raise purchase requests, and ensure timely delivery of materials for automation projects. - Assist in project planning and execution tracking, including creating project timelines, monitoring progress, and supporting internal reviews for on-time delivery within budget. - Currently pursuing a B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related engineering discipline. - Basic understanding of PLC programming principles, preferably with exposure to ladder logic, structured text, or function block diagrams. - Knowledge of electrical components such as relays, contactors, SMPS, sensors, actuators, and circuit protection devices. - Exposure to EPLAN or similar tools for creating control panel layouts and schematics is an added advantage. - Passion for industrial automation, control systems, and continuous learning in a production-oriented environment. - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail. - Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
