The Site Engineer responsibilities focus on the technical execution and management of the entire construction project.

• Technical Planning & Layout:

  Act as the main technical advisor on site. Interpret and implement architectural drawings, technical designs, and blueprints, specifically performing site setting out, leveling, and surveying to accurately determine the location of structures and installations.

• Quality & Standards Compliance:

  Ensure all materials used and work performed are in strict accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and relevant building codes/regulations. Conduct regular quality checks and inspections across all construction stages.

• Site Management & Supervision:

  Oversee and monitor the day-to-day operations of the site labor force, subcontractors, and plant/equipment. Organize site facilities, manage resources (materials and equipment), and coordinate workflow between various trades.

• Problem-Solving:

  Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties, site condition discrepancies, or design issues that arise on-site to prevent delays and cost overruns.

• Documentation & Reporting:

  Prepare comprehensive site reports, daily progress logs, and quality assurance documentation. Monitor project progress against the schedule and report milestones, risks, and challenges to the Project Manager or senior stakeholders.

• Health & Safety:

  Ensure strict adherence to all on-site occupational health and safety regulations, conducting regular safety audits and implementing preventative measures.

• Flooring Installation Planning:

  Develop detailed work plans, schedules, and methodologies for the installation of various flooring types (e.g., tile, marble, carpet, wood, vinyl) as specified in the project documents.

• Material Inspection & Quality Control:

  Inspect and verify the quality and quantity of all incoming flooring materials, adhesives, and sub-floor preparation products to ensure they meet the approved specifications and standards before installation begins.

• Sub-Floor Preparation Oversight:

  Supervise and ensure that all sub-floors are properly prepared, including leveling, moisture mitigation, cleaning, and substrate conditioning, as this is critical for the durability and appearance of the final flooring.

• Installation Supervision:

  Directly supervise the flooring sub-contractor and in-house team, ensuring the installation workincluding cutting, layout, setting, grouting, and sealing—is executed with

  precision

  and adheres to industry best practices and manufacturer guidelines.

• Snagging and Handover:

  Conduct final inspections of the completed flooring work, identify and manage the rectification of any snags (defects), and prepare the area for final handover.

• Waste and Inventory Management:

  Manage the inventory of flooring materials, track consumption, minimize waste, and ensure the efficient and secure storage of materials on-site.
