Job Role The video editor will be responsible for editing raw footage into polished, professional, and engaging videos that align with our channel’s style and audience preferences. You’ll work closely with the creative team to ensure videos are visually appealing, on-brand, and optimized for YouTube. Key Responsibilities Edit raw video footage into engaging, high-quality YouTube content. Add motion graphics, text animations, and effects where needed. Trim, cut, and arrange clips for smooth storytelling and flow. Enhance audio (background noise removal, sound balancing, and music overlays). Apply colour correction and grading to maintain visual consistency. Insert intros, outros, and branding elements in every video. Optimize videos for YouTube (thumbnails, aspect ratios, and export settings). Stay updated on YouTube trends, editing styles, and audience preferences. Collaborate with the creative team for storyboarding and content direction. Manage deadlines to ensure timely video uploads. Requirements Proven experience as a video editor (YouTube editing experience preferred). Proficiency in video editing software Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve or CapCut). Knowledge of motion graphics software (After Effects or similar) is a plus. Strong sense of storytelling, pacing, and visual aesthetics. Ability to add engaging text overlays, effects, and transitions. Creative mindset with attention to detail. Understanding of YouTube content strategy and audience engagement. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Nice-to-Have Skills Experience in thumbnail design (Photoshop/Canva). Knowledge of SEO for YouTube videos.
