Job Description

You will be responsible for overseeing and executing the interior design aspects of a new school construction project at Bloomingdale International School. Your key responsibilities will include: - Execution of interior works such as millwork, carpentry, flooring installations (rubber, vinyl, carpet, wood, granite, marble), ceiling works (baffle, acoustic, metal, wood veneer), acoustics spray, gypsum, decorative ceiling, DGU windows, modular doors, glass and MS hand railing, HPL toilet cubicles, wall cladding, POP punning, vitrified flooring, and dado cladding. - Experience in interior finishing works including planning, scheduling, material quality estimation, coordinating with sub-contractors, QA, QC, MEP, PMV, PMC, architect, purchase, and safety, preparing sub-contractor bills, and documentation of interior files. - Project management tasks involve overseeing the interior execution, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring adherence to design specifications. - Interior execution responsibilities include implementing design plans, selecting appropriate materials and furnishings, maintaining high-quality workmanship, and ensuring compliance with design standards. - Quality control measures involve monitoring interior work quality, conducting site inspections, and addressing design-related issues promptly. - Safety and compliance duties include ensuring interior design activities comply with safety regulations and local building codes. - Budget management tasks include tracking expenses, managing the interior design budget, and ensuring cost-effective solutions. - Collaboration and communication with the construction team, school management, and design consultants to provide regular updates on project progress. - Documentation tasks involve maintaining comprehensive records of design plans, modifications, and project progress, as well as preparing and submitting reports as required. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or related field. - Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in interior design, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role. - Proven experience in managing large-scale interior design projects, preferably in educational institutions. - Strong knowledge of interior design principles, materials, and finishes. - Excellent project management and organizational skills. - Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other relevant tools. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple stakeholders.
