Integration Test Lead Cockpit/IVI

Required Experience & Expertise:

Technical Expertise:

• Automation Expertise:

  Mandatory experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust test automation frameworks.

• Scripting Proficiency:

  Expertise in Python and other relevant scripting languages for developing automated integration, regression, and system tests.

• CI/CD Integration:

  Working knowledge of automated CI/CD infrastructure using tools like GitLab and Jenkins to integrate and run automated test suites continuously.

• Platform Knowledge:

  Strong expertise in designing integration test strategies for systems developed on multiple operating systems, including Android, Linux, and QNX.

• Android HMI and Framework Validation:

  Proven experience in designing test frameworks for Android-based IVI/Cockpit solutions, covering the application layer, framework, AOSP, and HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer).

  Good understanding of CTS, VTS, ATS, STS in the automotive domain.

  Should have good understanding of

  Debugging and Test tools with respect to Android Platforms.

• Hardware Interaction:

  In-depth knowledge of software and hardware interactions, with strong system troubleshooting and debugging skills on target hardware using tools like I2C, UART, and Ethernet.

• System Architecture Testing

  : Experience in testing platform middleware, HMI components, and BSP layers for Cockpit, IVI, and Cluster systems

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

• Test Strategy Ownership:

  Generate & own the test strategy, API validation plans, and end-to-end traceability for software subsystems in the IVI/cockpit domain.

• Documentation Review:

  Review documentation for SoC, BSP, Hardware peripherals, and subsystems to inform robust test coverage.

• Leadership & Coordination:

  Spearhead the integration and testing of all software deliverables, manage stakeholder communication, and coordinate testing efforts across internal teams and suppliers.

• Quality & Acceptance

  : Define quality attributes for subsystems and define comprehensive acceptance test cases for areas of expertise.

• Issue Resolution

  : Resolve complex technical challenges faced during integration and testing phases.

• Supplier Management:

  Review architecture and design proposals from suppliers to ensure testability and quality alignment.

Previous Experience:

• A minimum of 6-10 years of experience in automotive IVI or a related field, with at least the recent 3 years focused on Android testing.
• Should have worked in a complex onboard automotive project, owning the responsibility for testing design and implementation strategies.
• Detailed working knowledge of Agile scrum methodologies and continuous S/W integration are essential.
• Familiarity with ASIL and ISO26262 standards.
• Hands-on experience in testing Android products.
• Strong understanding of software design and architectural patterns from a testing and validation perspective.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Analyze and Validate Requirements, Use Cases, and APIs
2. Review Test Requirements and Map Requirements to Test Components/JIRA for traceability
3. Define System Quality Attributes and Test Objectives
4. Provide Technical Assistance for Multi-Carline Feature Delivery Testing
5. Optimize Test Strategy Considering End-User Needs and Cost Efficiency

Key Performance Indicators:

• Software metrics including but not limited to defect density, static and dynamics analytics, test coverage, code complexity to name a few.
• Requirement and use cases coverage of the feature.
• System Test design and its effectiveness
• Technical ability to manage and resolve all test and integration issues in respective domain

Essential:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science OR Electronics & Telecommunication OR Electrical Engineering related technical field OR equivalent
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Automotive industry (preferably in automotive embedded S/W with Android platform)

  : Mandatory experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust test automation frameworks.

• Scripting Proficiency

  : Expertise in Python and other relevant scripting languages for developing automated integration, regression, and system tests
• Proven experience in designing test frameworks for Android-based IVI/Cockpit solutions, covering the application layer, framework, AOSP, and HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer)
• Functional knowledge of automotive product development methodology
• A thorough understanding of quality engineering methodologies and tools
• A thorough understanding of the S/W development life cycle with respect to diagnostics compliance and delivery
• A proven record for the collaboration of direct and indirect teams to deliver a feature into production

Desirable:

• Proficiency in developing test automation scripts

  and designing test frameworks for Automotive.

• Should have worked in a complex onboard automotive project, owning the responsibility for testing design and implementation strategies
• Strong understanding of software design and architectural patterns from a testing and validation perspective.
• Experience of working in ASPICE accredited automotive S/W T1 or Services company
• Ability to deliver presentations and efficiently communicate to senior executives both internally and externally
