We are seeking a highly skilled Android Automotive Developer to contribute to the development of cutting-edge in-car infotainment systems. You will leverage your expertise in Android HAL and Framework internals to build robust and innovative features, with hands-on experience in Audio HAL and Android Connectivity. This role requires proficiency in C, C++, Java, and/or Kotlin, along with strong debugging skills. Roles & Responsibilities: Develop and enhance features for Android Automotive OS , focusing on in-car infotainment systems. Work extensively with Android HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) development to enable seamless interaction between hardware components and the Android framework. Deep dive into Android Framework internals to customize and optimize the automotive experience. Implement and integrate Audio HAL components for advanced audio functionalities within the vehicle. Develop and optimize Android Connectivity features, including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and other vehicle communication protocols. Write high-quality code in C, C++, and Java/Kotlin for various Android Automotive components. Utilize Android Debugging tools to diagnose and resolve complex issues efficiently. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers, hardware engineers, and QA teams, to deliver a cohesive product. Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and contribute to architectural decisions. Skills Required: Strong expertise in Android Automotive development . Strong expertise in Android HAL development and Android Framework internals. Experience working with Audio HAL . Hands-on experience with Android Connectivity . Proficiency in C, C++, and Java/Kotlin for Android development. Experience with Android Debugging tools . Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities, working effectively in a team environment. QUALIFICATION: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Mandatory Skills: Engineer with 8+ years of experience in embedded Linux/Linux application/driver/kernel development Strong C/C++ development skills with a good understanding of object-oriented design Good understanding of Android framework, overall Android Architecture. As a Technical Leader specializing in Android, you will be tasked with designing and developing software architecture for Android Middleware/Platform in the automotive sector, particularly focusing on AOSP and HAL technologies. With a minimum requirement of a bachelor's degree in engineering or its equivalent, you will lead a team of Middleware Developers, overseeing various domains such as Audio, Media, Tuner, Connectivity, Graphics, Projection, inter-domain communication, as well as Camera and Display sharing. Your role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and develop technical solutions while also serving as the main customer interface for all software-related activities. In addition to maintaining software design documents, specifications, and test plans, you will be responsible for identifying technical risks and developing mitigation strategies. Roles and Responsibilities: As a senior-level software engineer, you will coordinate and implement both Android Automotive OS platform, features as well as Customer-facing features of our connected, embedded Infotainment System. Candidate should have sound knowledge of Android System and Framework. Responsible from requirement analysis till realization of the functionality in Android Automotive domain. Responsible to develop different modules/components in Android Automotive System Is responsible for multiple component ownership for Android Automotive System Delivery of the software for software Integration Ensure the implementation of defined test strategies and document the achieved results. Ensure pre-integration testing and verification for the functional area and its features. Ensure traceability, consistency of requirements and feature maturity Defect triaging and resolution Work with other domains for the resolution of dependencies on features and defects Mentor the less experienced team members to guide and assist them in completing their tasks on time. 8+ years of working experience in modifying Android framework components, system services, and the Android SDK Good understanding of Android Automotive System and Car Framework Should have very good understanding of different Android Components : Services, Broadcast Receivers, Content Providers, Treble Architecture Proficiency Java, or Kotlin and Object-Oriented Programming Expertise and working knowledge in one or more domain are mandatory in IVI SYSTEM vConnectivity (Wifi or Bluetooth or NFC etc), vMultimedia (Audio or Video ), vVPA (Virtual Personal Assistant: Alexa, Google etc), vEVS (Exterior View System Camera for IVI), vCluster rendering, vADAS vNavigation, vAutomotive HMI / vVehicle HAL Solid understanding of Android best practices and mechanisms for ensuring robustness and stability of the system Hands on experience writing UNIT test cases for developed Android Modules Exposure to Android build system is required Knowledge on any Git, Gtest and SVN and Tortoise configuration Tools.
