As an Integration & Microservices Engineer at our client in India, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining integration solutions using Quarkus and Red Hat Fuse technologies. Your role will involve building scalable microservices, integration flows, and APIs, as well as optimizing Kafka producers and consumers for real-time data streaming. Here are the details of the position: Responsibilities: - Design and develop scalable microservices using the Quarkus framework. - Build and maintain integration flows and APIs using Red Hat Fuse (Apache Camel). - Develop and consume RESTful web services and APIs. - Design, implement, and optimize Kafka producers and consumers. - Write efficient, well-documented, and testable Java code. - Work with relational databases for schema design, queries, and performance tuning. - Collaborate with DevOps teams to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines. - Deploy and manage applications on OpenShift Container Platform. - Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and agile ceremonies. - Troubleshoot and resolve production issues. - Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements. Required Skills & Experience: - Strong experience with Java and the Quarkus framework. - Expertise in Red Hat Fuse (Apache Camel) for integration development. - Proficiency in designing and consuming REST APIs. - Experience with Kafka for event-driven and streaming solutions. - Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL. - Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. - Hands-on experience deploying applications to OpenShift Container Platform. - Familiarity with microservices architecture, cloud-native development, and agile methodologies. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team. - Good communication and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with messaging systems like Kafka. - Knowledge of other Java frameworks such as Spring Boot. - Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana. - Understanding of security best practices in microservices and API development. - Cloud platform experience is a plus. Education: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
