Integration Engineering - Software Engineer (Middleware)

Role Overview: You will be part of Apple's E-Business Services team as an Integration Software Engineer, responsible for designing and building highly scalable integration platforms using Java based B2B infrastructure as code components. Your role will involve processing high volume transactions with Apple's partners, enhancing and scaling B2B platforms, optimizing availability and consistency for applications across multiple data centers and cloud providers, and collaborating with domain-specific project developers, operations, and systems engineers. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop frameworks for processing high volume transactions - Drive enhancements and scale B2B platforms with sound judgment and strong technical leadership - Optimize availability and consistency for applications across multiple data centers and cloud providers - Develop and enhance frameworks for managing persistence, event processing, uniqueness, transaction correlation, and notifications - Collaborate closely with domain-specific project developers, operations, and systems engineers Qualifications Required: - Strong object-oriented design and analysis skills - More than 3+ years of experience working with Oracle or similar relational databases and NoSQL databases like MongoDB - Knowledge of HTTP/S, TCP, DNS, web application load balancing - Passion for programming with a good conceptual understanding of the operating environment (JVM, Operating System, File Systems, Network Protocols) - Deep understanding of basic security concepts and protocols (authentication, authorization, signing, encryption, SSL/TLS, SSH/SFTP, PKI, X509 certificates, and PGP) - Good knowledge of scripting languages such as bash/Perl - Experience in performance tuning of applications and databases, with knowledge of integrations with cloud-based solutions being a plus - Working experience in Agile development methodology - Familiarity with AI/ML fundamentals is a plus - Results-oriented with a high degree of ownership and accountability - Creative problem solver and excellent collaborator, thriving in a fast-paced, innovative environment - Effective communication vertically and horizontally through the organization - Ability to influence others to achieve results - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills - Ability to handle ambiguity and solve problems despite uncertainties - Leadership capabilities to lead large projects focusing on innovation, teamwork, and results - Demonstrated track record of achieving outstanding results in a professional career Apple is an equal opportunity employer committed to inclusion and diversity, providing reasonable accommodation to applicants with physical and mental disabilities.,
