Role & responsibilities Department: Design Location: Aurangabad, Maharashtra • Knowledge of Electrostatic, Electromagnetic & thermal engineering and verification/validation of product design by using ANSYS software. • Knowledge of calculating design stage product Raw Material cost. • Knowledge of type testing of products. • Basic Knowledge Six Sigma tools such as FMEA. • Should be able to do Spec-in in Tenders , support marketing team for preparing sales pitch. • Technical Presentation skills Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Design & Development Engineer to join our team specializing in electrical switchgear products, with a strong focus on instrument transformers and condenser Bushing. The idea candidate will have Strong understanding of electrical switchgear principles, instrument transformer design and applications. Key Responsibilities: • To prepare Technical Instructions for the procurement, production & QA team • Assembly and disassembly of In-house and benchmark products. • Study, Design and Implement best manufacturing practices. • Development of New products by--- 1. Electrical design that includes design calculations, drawings, bill of material schematics etc. 2. Coordination with Internal and External Customers and suppliers for manufacturing of components. 3. Active participation in assembly of new designed products. 4. Addressing corrective and preventive actions. 5. Validation of products at inhouse type or third -party lab. 6. Preparation of technology/product transfer manual. 7. Preparation of technical specifications, technical manufacturing instructions & SOPs for new product development. 8. Involved in RM cost reduction initiatives. Preferred candidate profile Qualification: Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering. Experience: • 3 to 5 years of experience in Instrument transformers (12kV and above), manufacturing industry. • Experience with CAD software and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, SolidWorks). Preferred Skills: • Should have knowledge of Indian & International standards applicable for MV & HV switchgear products like breaker, Instrument Transformer, Vacuum Interrupter, HT capacitor etc. • Thorough knowledge of Electromagnetic & Electrostatic design for Instrument transformer and condenser bushings.
