Are you a dynamic operational leader with a passion for purpose-driven impact? We are seeking a senior executive to lead the in-country delivery of the India strategy for a leading STEM professional membership body - overseeing operations, governance, and compliance for three entities and managing a talented team of 11. This role will be based in the Bengaluru office a minimum of 2 days per week. As the most senior representative in India, the Operations Head will lead the local office, maintain statutory compliance, hold a directorship, and ensure seamless collaboration with international colleagues. With a strong grip on financial oversight (approx. £0.5M annual turnover), HR, legal obligations, and cross-border reporting, you'll play a key role in aligning regional delivery with global priorities. Details: Salary: 4 million INR + discretionary bonus Location: Bengaluru (minimum 2 days per week) Permanent, full time role Key Responsibilities Operate as legal representative and Director for all Indian entities, ensuring local laws and internal policies are upheld Oversee budgeting, team management, financial planning and reporting across all business units Lead and develop the Bengaluru-based team; mentor managers and foster a high-performance culture Deliver against a mission-led strategy focused on professional development, engineering excellence, and social impact Liaise with international teams to ensure operational alignment Represent the organisation with confidence in legal, governance, and business forums About you: Proven operational leadership in India - ideally in a professional membership body, association or similarly regulated environment Exceptional understanding of governance, compliance, and HR practices Strong financial acumen and experience managing P&L Ability to drive strategy with warmth, rigour and agility Line management experience with the gravitas to lead national delivery This is a brilliant opportunity to be part of an internationally respected organisation that has been driving excellence in the STEM sector for over 150 years.
